هناك مجموعة من الخدمات المنوطة بفريق الرعاية الصحية المنزلية تشمل الخدمات الطبية العلاجية والوقائية والتأهيلية الى جانب التوعية، ويتم تقديمها للفئات التي تحتاجها وفق معايير وآلية عمل محددة بالتنسيق مع الطبيب المعالج وإدارة المستشفى. كما يتم تأمين المستلزمات والأجهزة الطبية التي يمكن أن يحتاجها المريض. تحتاج بعض الحالات المرضية الى تحاليل تشخيصية لتحديد طبيعة المرض وإعطاء العلاج المناسب. كما ان بعض الحالات الاخرى تحتاج الى متابعة الحالة لمعرفة مدى استفادة المريض من العلاج في وقت يعجز فيه المريض عن الخروج من المنزل.

لقد حرصت المختبرات الطبية على تجهيز كوادر طبية مدرّبة على أحدث الوسائل العلمية الحديثة في استخدام التقنيات والأجهزة المختبرية لإجراء الفحوصات الطبية وسحب العينات للمرضى من كبار السن وغير القادرين على الحركة أو للمرضى الذين هم بحاجة إلى إجراء الفحوصات والتحاليل المختبرية بصفة دورية ومنتظمة.
